Danny Tenaglia ~ Music is the Answer

Happy Friday morning luvlies, how are you?

Florida is covered in an eerie fog blanket this morning so it doesn't feel like I should be up quite yet. It's like leftover crumbs from something mysterious that I'm not supposed to know went down last night . . . anyways I woke up with this song in my head from last night streaming satellite radio from my dish. It's Danny Tenaglia's 1999 release titled Music is the Answer. The tune is still bumpin 10 years later. Danny has been spinning and producing since the early days of House Music and still puts out new music. For now enjoy this tune:

80's Electronica still thumps ~ Kraftwerk

Kraftwerk came together in 1970, yup that's right almost as old as your mama. Florian Schneider on flutes, synthesizers, electro-violin and Ralf Hütter on the electronic organ and synthesizers. The video above is for Musique Non-Stop which came out in 1986. Kraftwerk is one of the first music acts to record using pure electronically processed instruments and sounds exclusively. Many of the vocals in its songs are processed through a vocoder or generated using speech sythesis software. Their lyrics are minimal, usually a knowing caution about the modern world, as well as playing an integral role in the rhythmic structure of the songs. Their latest releases include a 2008 release of their hit Computer Love.

Enoy yourself, rock this joint. I gotta get back to work.

Jackin House ~ Jujubeats

Happy weekend my luvlies, how r u?

I'm in the mood for Something good to listen to.

Something that will move me.

Something different.

Something that'll make me wanna dance.

I found it on the Joey Youngman Jujubeats EP. All four tracks on the album bring the niceness so I recommend you check it out. My personal fav is Truth & Lies but for dancing Binky is the best.

It's a great day for dancing!

Joey Youngman was born in England then relocated to San Luis Obispo, California. He got a taste of the rave scene at very young age of 13 which hand in hand with classical musical training inspired him to produce his own music. In 2004 after years of djing and working with other labels he opened his own called Festish Recordings then later another label called Jackin Tracks (which i just luv btw). Today he is living his dream of producing some of the best House Music jointz.

Classic House Music Playlist 26 tracks from the 80's

Today I'm thinking about old school and classic house music.
I've noticed a rise in interest for everything 80's

but especially of music. During this decade there was an amazing artistic movement. People were experimenting with all sorts of sounds. There were no limits to the imagination and everyone was trying to create something new or at least different from anything else around. It was the decade when hip hop, heavy metal, freestyle, breakbeats and house music were born.
So let's take it back. Here are some
80's House joints that I love very much.

Best Electro Electronic Electronica House 2008

Happy New Year Darlings, how are you today? I keep rolling out more top tunes of 2008 lists which is easy considering the many releases last year. I hope you're enjoying them and experimenting with tracks you've never heard of.

Today's list is of the top Electonic House Tunes of 2008, another growing category that kids are latching on to. It feels fun, experimental and futuristic. It reminds me of the 80's experimentation with keyboard sounds. There was also a fascination with the future during the 80's and so much original creativity happened during that period it's no wonder we're still tapping into it for inspiration.

Enjoy yourself darling. It the first weekend of 2009.
